I decided to start writing quarterly empties. I have really tried to pay attention to products as they run out and make a conscious effort to toss then into a bin so I could share these items with you.
I try to use up what I have. Sometimes I totally hate the products and its impossible but other times its useable but not something I enjoy. I love reading what people like and dislike with an explanation as to why they didn’t like it. All products are so unique to the person who is using them so when something doesn’t work for one person it can be perfectly amazing for another.
Purity by Philosophy. This is my #1 go to cleanser when nothing works for my skin. It is gentile but yet tough on removing makeup. I don’t remove my makeup before shower and this cleanser alone will remove all my eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow. I keep a bottle in my shower so I can quickly wash my face. My eyes are very sensitive and this cleanser does not irritate my eyes or skin and my skin doesn’t feel dry after using this cleanser. I recommend this to everyone. It is pricier but totally worth every penny. Lasts a while too.

Simple Soothing Facial Toner. I like this toner. Once again it doesn’t dry or irritate my skin. I can use it on my eyes without any irritation and it is very affordable. I’m currently using a different toner but once that is done I will pick up this one again.

Neutragena Hydro Boost SFP30 water gel lotion. This is one of the only SPF products I can use without getting a painful red rash on my face. This SPF gel also works nicely with my foundation and leaves your skin hydrated but not greasy. Overall I would buy this again. I am eyeing the Tacha SPF but it’s so expensive.

Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash. Now this is another great face wash. I would say very comparable to the Purity cleanser and pretty much 3rd of the cost of the Purity cleanser. The consistency feels the same. Only difference I noticed is the scent and color. This also removes makeup, causes no irritation and leaves my skin clean but moisturized. I’m currently on another tube of this cleanser.

Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream. I love this moisturizer. I’m currently using another tube of this also. Simple line is amazing. Inexpensive and gentile on my skin. This moisturizer is amazing. It leaves your skin plump, smooth and non sticky. You also have a natural healthy glow to the skin. I also find that since I have been using this moisturizer I don’t get as oily on my chin throughout the day. It does a great job of balancing the oils in my skin.

Tatcha The Water Cream. This is a good cream. Too heavily scented but that doest seem to irritate my skin. This also plumps my skin very nicely. I would say it feels the same as the Simple Water Boost gel. I honestly think the Simple water boost Cream and the Tacha water cream do the same thing except Tacha is 6 times the price for the same size cream.

StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream. I don’t think this does anything for my neck skin. It could be because I’m in my 30’s and don’t really have anything to tighten yet. It is very thick and hard to spread. I prefer my normal face moisturizer for my neck. I dont think this is worth purchasing.

Physicians Formula Vitamin C Brightening Facial Oil Stick SFP 30. This is an ok product. It moisturizes nice, plays nice with makeup but it clogs my pores. I used it about half way through and realized I have way more clogged pores than before and this was the only new product. I stopped using it and my pores started to clear out. If you don’t have problems with pores clogging I do say try it out. It is a nice product but I can’t use it.

Josie Maran Pure Argan oil. This is my night-time baby. I use it every single night after my shower. It leave my skin soft, supple and healthy. It doesn’t clog my pores and it last a very long time. I only use 4 drops for my entire face and neck area. I currently have a another bottle in use.

Tarte Maracuja C-brighter Eye Treatment. I have one of these in just about every empties post. I have gone through so many of these but I did notice how price it is. I’m currently trying out another more affordable product. I will let you know what that is once I go through it. Defenetley recommend this Maracuja cream.

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream. This was an ok cream. I don’t think I would purchase this again. I didn’t do anything special for my eye area and for the price of this I rather purchase the Maracuja cream. It did moisturize ok and it didn’t cause any irritation.

Neutragena All-in-1-Acne-Control daily scrub. I don’t think I would get this again. The Salicylic acid in this scrub is a little too drying for my skin. I didn’t notice any big changes from using this aside from my skin feeling dryer then normal. I prefer a regular facial scrub without salicylic acid.

Spongelle Papaya Yüzü. I definetly don’t find this worth the price. Only reason I have it is because I got it one of my subscription boxes. I would not pay this amount for a sponge. It does smell very nice but the sponge itself at first is very rough.

Clinique Moisture Surge. I do love this cream but now that I found the Simple water boost cream I prefer that over the moisture surge. I think the water boost cream does a better job of moisturizing and I like the feel of that more on my skin.

Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum. This is another pricey product but I do recommend this. When you consistently use it you will see a difference in acne marks and dark spots. My skin tone was much more even after using this product. I’m currently trying out something new but if this doest work out I will order another one of these Murad serums.

Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm. I love Drunk Elephant brand so much. I have a face mask from them and I have used their serums in the past but this lip balm is not worth the money. I prefer my $.99 lip balms from the drugstore more. Whenever I used this lip balm I only felt it on my lips for few minutes and then it was gone. I prefer a lip balm that stays on my lips for a while. This is too expensive to disappear within few minute. Save your money and get something else.

Milani Prime Light. This is a great primer. I love a glowey primer and skin. It doesn’t do much for your pores like it claims to do but overall I would purchase again. Your skin has a beautiful glow to it after applying and foundation applies very nice over this primer.

Living Proof Dry shampoo. This is my only dry shampoo currently. I have not found any other dry shampoo that doesn’t leave my hair dirtier then it is. It smells nice and doesn’t cause my scalp to itch.

The Porefessional pearl primer. I love the original Benefit primer but this not so much. It doesn’t do much for my skin and I find that my foundation doesn’t look as smooth with this as it does with the original one. I prefer the Milani primer over this primer.

Loreal Magic Pefecting Base. This is a great primer. My skin is so smooth after applying this primer. My cheeks feel like baby skin and it fills in pores. My skin looks almost blurred when I apply this primer and foundation looks flawless over this primer. It is a bit pricier for a drugstore but its worth it.

Maybellie Instant Age Rewind concealer. This is one of my favorite concealers over any high end or drugstore concealer. It is light weight and covers nice for everyday use. It hardly creases and blends like a dream. I also like using this on my eye lids to prime for eyeshadow. I set it with a powder and it works great. Price is good too. I have one of these in just about every empties post.

Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Vanilla. This is another good concealer. I used this to cover my blemishes. It seems to crease too much under my eyes and this particular shade is too dark for my under eyes.

Laur Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. So this is one of those products that I hated first time around and then decided to give it a try again. I actually gave my first one away to a friend but then got a sample size when I placed an order from Sephora. I tried it again and now love it for under my eyes. I think my problem was that I was trying to bake like many people do but that does not look good with my skin. Now I use it to set my under eyes but I only dust a little bit and its great. It brightens and sets my concealer all day.

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Cream. I love this brow cream. This taupe shade is perfect for my dirty blond hair and it stays put all day but the packaging is horrible. It is so hard to get the product out as you go through it and this is the only reason im not re-purchasing. I wish they would put it into a pot like the Anastasia Pomade is. I would honestly pay $50 for it then. I even like the brush on this product.

Tarte Gifted Mascara. I don’t like this mascara. This doesn’t do anything for my lashes. I like length and volume the same time and this doesn’t do either. Covergirl mascaras are much better and under $10.

Clinique High Impact Mascara. This mascara is a different story. I do love this mascara. It lengthens and give volume without clumping. I don’t get any smudging from this mascara. It is pricey considering how fast mascaras dry out but worth the money. I usually get sample sizes when I order something online. I find sample size mascaras just perfect. You get to use them up before they dry out.

Loreal Brow Stylist Pumper. I used up every bit of this. Mine is in the shade light to medium. It has a gold sheen to it which I liked in my brows but the brow hair don’t stay put all day. This is the only thing I dont like about it. If you are not concerned about your brow hair staying in place I do recommend this brow plumper. I recently opened up the Benefit give me brow and I like this Loreal one more. Does a better job of giving you brows.

Grande Mascara Lash Boosting Formula. This dries out very quickly. I opened up a little sample size and it was dry much faster than most mascaras. I do think it helped my lashes grow longer. The look of this mascara on my lashes was pretty nice too. No other complains aside from the drying out too quickly.

BH Cosmetics HD Brow pencil.BH Cosmetics HD Brow pencil. I love this pencil. It is affordable, does a great job with my brows and it stays on pretty good too. Now if you go to rub your brows it will come off but without touching your brows it stays put all day. I have the shade blonde but I really should be the next darker shade. I do recommend this brow pencil.

Finally Philosophy Amazing Grace Ballet Rose perfume. If you like rose scents you will like this. It has a nice fresh clean rose smell but not too old smelling. Only thing the scent doesn’t last all day. It does start fading after few hours.

I didn’t realize I went through this many products in 3 months. I may need to start doing monthly empties so these posts wouldn’t be too long. Let me know do you prefer the longer 3 months posts or shorter monthly posts.
