Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Foundation Review

This is my first review on foundation. Usually I write about things that I love to help others find good products but this time I want to share a product I don’t love at all.

I purchased this foundation because of the good reviews on YouTube. I ordered mine from Walmart and it was only $4.68. People are raving about this foundation so I was hoping I would find a foundation that is affordable and good that I can use every day.

So far most of my foundations are high-end. They just seem to perform better on my skin.

Scent-this smells like paint. When you open the bottle it smells like you just opened a bucket of paint.

Applicator-it has a plastic spatula type applicator. I find this foundation to be too liquidy to apply with this applicator. Also it feels uncomfortable, applies too much foundation in one place and you can’t evenly spread it.

image.pngCoverage-maybe light medium coverage. I don’t know if its my skin or the foundation. I have tried it several times. Every time I apply it and set it with a powder it ends up looking patchy. I have tried it with a brush and a sponge, both same result. Which ever way I apply it while setting with powder it seems to pick up the foundation from certain areas. Also it accentuates my pores. I don’t really have big pores but this foundation makes sure to find every single pore on my face.

Staying power-on my combination skin it starts separating within few hours. Certain areas are patchy immediately after setting and other areas just start separating.

I do not recommend this foundation. Even though its very affordable save the $4.68 and put it towards something better. I use primers with all of my foundations. I tried every primer and setting powder I own. Theres a lot of them! None of them helped with the pore problem or the foundation lifting when setting the foundation.

Leave a comment if you have been able to make this foundation work for you and what primer and powder did you use?

Love Kat
