Wow, I can’t believe it’s already 2019. It just hit me now when I wrote January 2019 BoxyCharm. I can’t believe how fast the years go by. Enough of that. Onto the BoxyCharm details.

I was hoping that they would start the year out with a bang but not so much. I only like two things in this months box. There are five products as usual but six items since the sheet mask comes in a two pack.

The first two items are my favorite things out of the box. The last three I’m not a fan of.

Tarte Limited-Edition Rainforest of the Sea Highlighting Eyeshadow Palette Vol III $36. What a name! Could it be any longer! This palette is so pretty. I was really hoping for the pink one but now that I got this one I’m happy with it. It has beautiful neutral shades. The only non shimmer shade is Tiki. It is so light. I have very fair skin and it barely shows up on me. The shades are Tiki (satin cream), Heat wave (pink champagne), Malibu (shimmery milk chocolate), Rays (peachy gold), Compass (light gold), Jewel (copper gold), Treasure (pearl) and Escape (champagne). All the shades swatch beautifully and they feel buttery soft. None of the shades seem to have any fall out when you swatch them.

Tatcha  Luminous Dewy Skin Face Mask (2 pack) $24. This mask claims to leave your skin velvety smooth, dewy and luminous. I have not tried the Tatcha sheet masks before. I have tried few skin care products but I was not a big fan. All their face products seem to be heavily scented. I will post a review once I try these to update you. Tatcha also has a coupon code. Briogeo Rosarco Milk reparative leave in conditioning spray $12. This is not the full size item. I have tried this before and I do not like it. I had this same 2 FL. OZ bottle and every time I used it, my fine hair was dangled. I couldn’t run my fingers through my hair. There are so many amazing reviews about this product. I just don’t understand how. Maybe my hair is just too smooth and too fine.

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Havana Nights $20. Once again there is another lip product that I’m not a fan of. I really don’t like lipstick. I love lip gloss. I wish they would customize certain parts of the box with the subscribers preference. I did swatch it on my hand and it looks very pretty.  The burgundy brown is too dark for my liking.

Starlooks Black Ultra-Luxe Longwear Eye Pencil $19. This pencil is not very black,  more of a charcoal. It is a retractable pencil which is nice. Also it’s not too creamy and not too dry. Seems to be just the right consistency for my liking. I will try this out.Overall I’m not that happy about this box. It was worth it for the palette and the face masks.
