I had my eye on the Fenty Beauty Match Stix for a while. I’m always on the look out for good cream products and of course the packaging is absolute beautiful. I purchases the trio in Light 100 with the concealer, highlighter and contour stick and a blush in Yacht Lyfe.
The Match Stix come in a beautiful mauvie pink hexagonal tube similar to a lipstick. They are magnetic so they connect to each other forming the cutest honey comb design. The packaging is a A+ for me. Only con is that they stick to other metal object being magnetic but otherwise they are perfect.
The contour stick in Amber has a cool neutral undertone. It doesn’t make me look muddy or too warm. Blends like a dream and sets to a powder finish. It is the best cream product I own. I can’t think of anything bad to say about this product.
The starstruck highlighter is mesmerizing. It is a beautiful sheer pink shade with a little glitter specks. If you don’t like glittery highlighters this product is not for you but if you do then you will absolutely LOVE it. I have used it under my foundation, over my foundation and on top of a powder. Whichever way you choose to use it, it is absolutely beautiful. I don’t know how many times I can say absolutely beautiful. This is by far my favorite cream highlighter that I own. This also sets to a powder and leaves your skin with a wet look. I do have few cons about this product. When you apply it onto your skin you can feel it chunky and rough. This is because of the glitter. Also it does take a little bit of work to blend out. I usually apply it, blend it and reapply so it would not be patchy.
The last item in the trio is the concealer stick in Linen. I find this concealer to be too yellow toned and dry for my skin. I prefer a creamier concealer. Usually I use it on my chin to brighten and I don’t have to set it with a powder. It is too sheer to cover any blemishes. Honestly I would prefer the trio to have a blush instead of the concealer.
I did also purchase a blush in the shade Yacht Lyfe. Another WOW product for me. Yacht Lyfe is a pinky peachy shade with a golden sheen. There is no glitter. Just a golden sheen. If you own the Nars Orgasm blush this would be a good comparison. Also Milani Luminoso is very similar but little peachier than the Yacht Lyfe. This blush is definitely the best cream blush I own. Blends out like a dream and sets to a powder.
I would highly recommend the Fenty Match Stix. I find them to be a perfect easy makeup product that doesn’t require setting with a powder. I guess I should mention that I have combination skin. Oily T-zone and dry everywhere else. These are easy on the go products and they look beautiful on your vanity. The trio costs $54 and the singles Match Stix are $25 each. The trio comes in 4 different shade options.
Leave a comment if you have tried the Fenty Beauty Match Stix and what you thought about them. Also if you have any cream products you love leave a comment so I can try them out.
