DIY Granite Cleaner

I have tried so many different countertop cleaners and none of them left my dark green speckled granite streak free and shiny until this.

Once again I was browsing online and came across a DIY granite cleaner. I of course had to make modifications. I can never leave something as is so this is how I make it.

1/4 cup Isopropyl alcohol  (91%)

1 3/4 cup of filtered water

5 drops of dish soap ( any kind will do but I prefer the blue Dawn)

10-15 drops of essential oil. My favorite is lemon or grapefruit but you can use any one you like. Geranium is very strong so I would only use few drops of that.

Add everything into a glass spray bottle and shake it up. Make sure it is glass bottle because the essential oils will eventually dissolve the plastic bottle. I love the Grove Collaborative glass bottle with the silicone sleeve around it.

You won’t believe how shiny and clean this leaves your counter top and how budget friendly this cleaner is. I do occasionally use it as bathroom mirror cleaner and it does an OK job. Not as good as glass cleaner.

Leave a comment if you end up trying this cleaner and what you think of it!

Love Kat
