Pond’s Dark Spot Corrector Cream

Living in South Florida my very fair skin is exposed to sun constantly. Last year I noticed several areas on my face had discoloration. I started wearing sunblock every single day to prevent further damage but the sunspots were still there.

I googled dark spot corrective creams. Pond’s cream caught my eye being an affordable drugstore option and the reviews were good also.

I purchased the first jar without realizing there are multiple skin type options available. The first jar was for dry skin so my combination skin ended up too greasy and shiny. Not happy with the cream I searched for other products and still couldn’t find a cream that worked.

My curiosity kept on going back to the Pond’s cream because of the reviews. After reading further I found out there was an option for normal to oily skin. This cream is non-comedogenic which is great for my acne-prone skin. I went out and purchased another jar for the right skin type.

The normal to oily cream absorbed into the skin immediately leaving my face velvety soft. No shine at all.  Using it twice a day for a couple of weeks I noticed the dark spots started to fade. Even my husband started using it.

You will not see instant results with this cream but overtime it does lighten the discoloration. After a couple of weeks I noticed the normal to oily cream was not moisturizing enough.

One night getting ready for bed I had an epiphany. Why not add a few drops of oil into the cream to make it more moisturizing. I happened to have the Tarte Maracuja oil that moment but I’m sure any facial oil would work.

The Pond’s Cream and Tarte Maracuja oil combination is a match made in heaven. The cream and oil combo absorbs into the skin so fast without leaving any greasiness. It sits well under my foundation also. I highly recommend the Pond’s cream to anyone who wants to fade dark spots. Just remember you won’t see results overnight. It does take time.

Everything was purchased with my personal funds. This is not sponsored. It is my honest true opinion about the products.

Have you tried the Pond’s dark spot cream? What did you think about it?
